The
total number of patients that have been treated using
Retrodifferentiated Stem Cell Therapy since March 1, 2005 are as
follow:
Beta Thalassaemia
Major
We treated 28 patients
in Beta Thalassaemia Major who required between 2 and 7 blood
transfusions in a 2 month period with iron overload measured by
Ferritin ranging from 1250 to 11,300. 90 days following the
treatment their blood transfusion requirements fell to between 1 and
3 transfusions. Their serum Ferritin levels fell to normal levels
WITHOUT the use of any chelating agent such as Desferal or Feriprox.
Their distended stomachs reduced in size indicating organ repair and
normalization. Thalassaemia Major is a genetic disease in which the
patient's red blood cells break down. The only treatment known is
to transfuse the patients with cross matched blood. Transfusion may
lead to the patient getting viruses in unscreened blood and
additional iron from the donor. This iron overload is what
eventually kills the patients. Average life of patients is between
7-10 years.
Thalassaemia Intermedia
This is milder form of Thalassaemia Major. The patient has
recovered without requiring more than one transfusion in a 10 month
period. The patient was sickly and bed ridden every two weeks due
to weakness. 10 months later, he has gained weight and does not
require any transfusion or chelating agents of any kind.
Sickle Cell Anaemia
This is milder form of Thalassaemia. The patient has recovered
requiring only one transfusion in a 7 month period. The patient was
sickly and tired every two-three weeks due to weakness. In this 7
month period, he has gained weight and does not require any
transfusion or chelating agents of any kind.
Muscular Dystrophy
We have treated two patients. Both had this debilitating disease
with a very poor prognosis with eventual death. Their condition
improved substantially as measured by his levels of CPK, Aldolaise
and LDH, all enzymes secreted by damaged muscles. This process of
muscle damage has now been stopped. They are both able to walk
better and have better control of their muscles allowing him to
complete daily chores much easier and more normally.
Type I Diabetes
We have completed treating 2 patients. The results have been
spectacular. The patients in this disease require regular use of
insulin as their pancreas are no longer synthesizing insulin. The
patients were on very high dosages of insulin every day. Within 4
weeks the patients are synthesizing their own insulin!!!!!! This is
medically impossible. Their Glysemic control as measured by HbA1C
is now at normal levels in a period of 8 weeks. Once again, this is
not possible in this time frame.
Type II Diabetes
We have completed treating 1 patients, male aged 54, Diabetic for
the past 18 years. The results have been even more spectacular.
The patient in this disease require regular use of glucofage tablets
and eventually insulin as their pancreas are no longer synthesizing
insulin. The patient was on 40 units of insulin every day. Despite
this level of insulin intake, the patient had fasting sugar levels
of 180-210 and random sugar levels of 280-380. C-peptide was
negligible (<0.5%) and HbA1C was 10.4. Within 2 weeks the patient
started synthesizing his own insulin! Once again, this is medically
impossible. Their Glysemic control as measured by HbA1C is now
coming towards normal.
Motor Neuron Disease (ALS)
We treated 5 patient
with this debilitating disease who had approximately 2 years to live
(based on disease survival averages). Their speech was slurred,
they could not walk unassisted on both sides, two had their necks
hanging on their chest and could not sleep or yawn properly thereby
not allowing them to sleep properly. In all cases the patients’
voluntary breathing volume was not present, i.e. they failed the
Pulmunary Function Test (PFT). 3 weeks following this procedure, 3
out of 4 patient's voices became much clearer, ¾ can now walk over
250 m assisted on one side only whereas they could not do more than
10m previously. On the second day, one patient could yawn without
locking his jaw and he had his fiscillations reduced in amplitude.
His body stiffness is down by over 90% (according to him) as he can
now sleep better. Two patients had their neck hanging on their
chest. Now they can hold their necks up completely / normally
without any assistance. In all cases, the patients’ breathing
volume as measured by PFT has significantly increased.
Spinal Cord Injury
We have treated 2
patients. The first was a gun shot wound victim completely
paralyzed from the neck down. Within 3 days, the patient could sit
on his own and had strength/feeling in his upper body/arms. 8 weeks
later he can now move his toes voluntarily whereas no motion was
possible before the procedure. He claims now to be getting some
feeling in his bowels where there was none before.
The second patient was
a motor cycle accident victim who had no feeling / motion below his
navel. He now has partial feeling in his lower limbs compared to
none before. He can actually stand when assisted or against a wall
for much longer than before.
Parkinson's Disease
We have treated 3
patients. The patients have advised us that their symptoms have
greatly reduced (shaking and tension in the limbs). The patients
could only walk assisted on both sides prior to the procedure. Post
procedure, the patients have improved balance and unassisted walking
abilities with improved stamina.
Aplastic Anaemia
Patients
4 patients suffering
from Aplastic Anaemia were treated in India in 2004. These patients
had between 4 and 8 weeks to live and all of them were blood product
transfusion dependant. 21 months after the procedure, 3 of them are
living normal lives. One patient died due to causes unrelated to
this treatment. Specifically, the patient died of Pneumonia as a
result of traveling to his village against the advice of his
doctors.
Psoriasis
One of the patients treated for Severe Aplastic Anaemia suffered
from severe psoriasis. Following the treatment, within 7 days the
psoriasis disappeared completely after a lapse of over 21 months,
has not recurred.
Hepatitis C
2 patients that tested
positive for Hepatitis C and had viral loads ranging from 17,500 IU/ml
to 395,000 IU/ml as tested via PCR had their viral loads decreased
to zero IU/ml and 96,900 IU/ml in a period of 6.5 weeks after one
treatment. These patients suffer from Beta Thalassaemia major. |
